This is one not to miss!! Our monthly association meeting is being held at and sponsored by Boscos Brewing Company. Their Brewery is located in South Main at the end of the district at the corner of South Main and Crump. There is ample parking in their lot or on the street and then there’s Beer!! As part of our meeting, Chuck Skypeck will be previewing some of their different brews with a beer and cheese pairing. This is a great opportunity to sample some great beer and to learn a little something at the same time.

Our Meeting at Downtown’s Latest Hot Spot
is an Opportunity to Get Artsy!
The UrbanArt Commission and the South Main Association are partnering to spice up the South Main streetscape with a series of colorful murals, and we’re looking for design inspiration! We are inviting neighborhood residents, businesses, and artists to help us develop themes, motifs, symbols, imagery, etc. for these public art installations. Upon completion, the 8′x4′ panels will be installed at properties along South Main Street to further enhance the appearance of the district.
Please bring your CREATIVE IDEAS to Tuesday’s South Main meeting, where will have paper, pens, markers, etc for you to GO COMPLETELY NUTS with enthusiasm! Or, if you absolutely can’t make it, feel free to send your ideas to loriechapman@comcast.net.

South Main Association would like to thank Kendall Haney and the Downtown Condo Connection for hosting and sponsoring our event last night. We would also like to thank Andy Kitsinger and Lisa Brumleve for their presentation on the history and current state of downtown. For a rundown on the conversation, please visit Paul Ryburn’s blog entry on the subject. He took very copious notes on the discussion. Thanks to everyone who attended and shared in the meeting.
If you are a South Main resident, and are interested in helping SMA with getting the word out, please consider becoming a South Main Resident Representative. These representatives would be responsible for putting up and taking down flyers in the different condo buildings in which they live. If you are interested, please feel free to email me. vicepresident@southmainmemphis.org
